We have grilled many a steak in this house. Sometimes we just throw on our favorite grill seasoning 30 minutes prior and throw them on the grill, but when we have a little longer to think about it, there is absolutely no beating this amazing steak marinade. We have been using it for years! I like to let it sit all day or overnight in the refrigerator, (no more than 24 hours.) Then you just pull it out when you are ready to go and throw it on the grill. High heat, a few minutes on each side depending on how well you like it and DONE!
Ingredients:
1 cup soy sauce
3 Tbsp canola oil
Juice of a lemon (can
add zest) or 1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp grill
seasoning (I use citrus seasoning if I have it)
1 Tbsp minced garlic
2-3 tsp ginger
1 teaspoon ground
coriander (or 1 tsp parsley if you don’t have any on hand)
2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon curry powder A pinch of ground cayenne pepper Combine everything together in a storage sized Ziploc bag. Throw in the meat and squish it all around. Allow to sit for at least an hour, or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator and then just throw it on the grill when you are ready. |
