Italian Stroganoff

This recipe is SUPER easy and can be on the table in less than 30 minutes.  There are many days that I truly appreciate recipes like that!  Don't think that because it's quick and easy that you will sacrifice flavor... the Italian seasoning packet adds a lovely punch.

1 lb ground beef
1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
1 cup water
1 can cream of mushroom soup (can use cream of chicken)
1 cup sour cream

Brown the ground beef then add the dry dressing mix and the water.  Simmer for 3-5 minutes and add the cream of mushroom soup.  Just before you are ready to serve add the sour cream.  Serve over egg noodles, mashed potatoes or rice.  I love mine tossed with egg noodles and peas... Then again, I'll eat peas with anything!
